Why audio and video make a difference

If you have been wondering why you should bother with adding audio or video to your website, spare a thought for those who find reading difficult or have some form of visual impairment.

According to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), there are around 1.8 million people in the UK with sight problems, with 100 people starting to lose their site every day.

Yes, they can use special software to read the text, but what can be better and more natural sounding than hearing what an individual has to say, in their own voice. You hear the passion, the excitement and the enthusiasm conveyed in a  way that the printed word cannot.

That’s why we at Mosaic Publicity are delighted to have created a unique Guide Dog Blog and Podcast for the Colchester branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind, with the dogs themselves (through their ‘mums’!) telling their stories!

Video, for those who do not have sight problems, adds an extra dimension to a website, helping us to obtain much more detail and depth about a subject. It also means there’s a lot to learn if you want to get it right. So if you would like to find out more about our audio podcast or video podcast (vodcast) training courses, please contact us on 01206 548100 or email us.
